Life As We Knew It
Here are your choices for projects. You may choose to go at this alone or continue to work in your group.
- Create a survival journal/diary similar to Miranda that tells your survival story. If you choose this-you will receive more specific instructions.
- Create your survival home. Use your knowledge from the book and their experiences as well as from the video we watched before reading the book.
- Create a Nature Scene depicting different scenes from each section of the book (summer, fall, winter, spring). If you choose this-you will receive more specific instructions.
- Create a soundtrack for Miranda’s life. Again this needs to include important events that happened in the book as well as being from each section of the book.
- Create a Facebook page for each of the main characters of the novel. If you choose this-you will receive more specific instructions.
- Rewrite the story for younger children in picture book form.
- Write a movie proposal: What actors/actresses would have roles as what characters? Create a flow map of the plot sequence. What changes would you make changing the story from book to movie? Why? What songs might be on the soundtrack? Design a movie poster.
